As the great, ancient philosopher Aristotle said, “change in all things is sweet.” At The Knolls, the new face of Westchester Meadows, we know this adage is true.
The Knolls offers a new beginning for the Westchester County community since the
not-for-profit company, Bethel, acquired it on November 1. Bethel has been committed to being a leader in providing innovative health care, housing, and retirement services to the community for more than 100 years.
Bethel, a Trusted Name
As the area’s leader in senior care, Bethel has the knowledge and financial ability to lead this community into a bright future. Founded in 1911 as the Bethel Swedish Methodist Episcopal Home for the Aged, Bethel has continued to grow, helping countless seniors lead exceptional lives.
Today, the company offers a full continuum of care, from its campuses in Ossining and Croton-on-Hudson here in Westchester County. Services are provided through The Pines,; affordable apartments for independent seniors in Ossining; The Springvale Inn, an assisted living complex in Croton-on-Hudson; two skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers at both campuses; respite; and hospice care. The continuum also includes community programs such as adult day, and home care services.
“Bethel looks at the big picture, anticipating the changing landscape, and having a fresh palette ready to paint a new scene,” remarked Bethel CEO, Beth Goldstein, “we are excited to bring our experience and unique perspective to The Knolls.”
With the new leadership of Bethel, residents at The Knolls will continue to enjoy their independence and the wonderful amenities to which they’ve grown accustomed, with the peace of mind that their community will be financially stable and offer even more care options.
Improved Campus and Care
The community isn’t just getting a new name; it’s also getting a facelift! Bethel is planning a $6 million renovation for the campus to improve amenities and care. In addition to the new signage, much of the campus will be renovated and updated, offering new opportunities and a better quality of care for residents. While the renovations are taking place, all current residents can rest assured that they will continue to live just as comfortably as they have been, and can look forward to a more secure, engaging community.
